Old Republic Risk Management is Hiring a Remote Data Administrator

Old Republic Risk Management (ORRM) is currently seeking a Data Administrator to join its Statistical Team at its company headquarters in Brookfield, WI. In general, this position manages and coordinates the Old Republic Risk Management (ORRM) response to the complex data requirements for the National Council of Compensation Insurance (NCCI), Independent Worker’s Compensation Bureaus and the Insurance Services Office. This includes monitoring the Company's participation in various bureau-specific data quality enhancement programs and the receipt, management, and review of incoming Third-Party datasets. This position responds to data requests and inquiries by various state and federal insurance administrations and departments.
DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:

  • Load Third-Party datasets into the company claim systems using various File Transfer Protocol (FTP) routines. Work with Information Technology to resolve data issues for unique processing requirements.
  • Perform TPA dataset and conversion balancing. Successfully execute applicable SOC controls.
  • Perform monthly analysis for dataset completeness. Notify and work with Data Quality Analyst to resolve TPA data inconsistencies and/or shortcomings.
  • Execute conversion routines to update TPA datasets into the company claim processing systems. Monitor report data, analyze and communicate notable changes. Verifying coverage and reinsurance structures, maintain essential system support tables.
  • Obtain missing or inaccurate information by communicating with applicable departments and outside firms.
  • Identify system anomalies; if necessary, submit Requests for Information, perform system testing.
  • Working with the Insurance Data Analyst, anticipate, research, and resolve the system(s) impact of TPA System Changes. Communicate corrective transactions to Compliance staff when required.
  • Perform WINS coding of excess loss data as prepared by Reinsurance and/or Claim Department verifying policy coverage.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a High School Diploma, or equivalent, and a minimum of two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working as a Data Administrator requires one to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products is necessary. Other skills necessary include excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and accurate proofreading skills, the ability to maintain accurate records, the ability to exercise discretion with confidential information, strong attention to detail, and the ability to use a variety of office equipment.
